Carsten Jan Weichelt – Writing about Work, Identity and Artificial Intelligence
I have been observing for as long as I can remember. Writing was simply the logical consequence. In the past, it was stories. Today, it is text that structures complex systems, dissects modern society, and reaches people on a deeper level – without getting lost in the daily autopilot.
After studying Creative Writing & Copywriting at SRH University Berlin, I spent years working in the cultural and digital sectors. I have developed content strategies, created cross-media concepts, and worked as an editor, podcaster, and copywriter for projects such as YourArtBeat and Wake Word Studios. As part of the NDI Berlin expert network, I also share my knowledge in AI training and prompt writing, helping teams master the art of intelligent language structuring.
I write about work, identity and the changing relationship between people and artificial intelligence.
Based in Barcelona, I explore how technology, modern work and professional culture influence who we become.
My work combines storytelling, social observation, satire and AI-assisted writing to understand belonging, professional identity and the future of work.
Work, Identity and AI
Artificial intelligence is changing how we write, work and communicate. Rather than replacing creativity, AI forces us to ask deeper questions about authorship, meaning and human perspective.
My work explores where technology ends and human observation begins.
I write about professional identity, remote work, AI, workplace culture and the systems that shape modern working life.
Why "Kuh Alma" (Alma the Cow) exists
Alma is both a fictional character and a creative laboratory. Through satire, Alma explores work culture, remote work, professional identity, belonging and the emotional realities of modern working life.
The project combines storytelling, social observation and cultural criticism.
Alma allows me to examine topics that traditional business writing often cannot reach.
Writing about Work, Identity and Artificial Intelligence
I do not write simply to produce digital content. I write to understand how work, identity and technology shape our lives.
My work combines storytelling, artificial intelligence, content strategy and social observation to explore modern work culture, professional identity and the relationship between people and technology.
Through essays, satire and editorial writing, I aim to make complex ideas accessible while preserving a clear human perspective. Technology may change how we write, but it should never replace observation, empathy or an authentic voice.
What drives me
I do not believe in empty buzzwords. I believe in clarity.
I do not believe in being loud. I believe in observation.
My work is driven by curiosity about modern work, artificial intelligence and the systems that influence how people live and work. I am convinced that good writing does not need to shout to leave a lasting impact.
It needs precision, perspective and the courage to ask uncomfortable questions about work, identity and belonging.
